HELM

From 2008 to 2015, the Gold Coast’s HELM carved a formidable presence on the Austarlian music industry. A unique and genuinely Australian outfit, HELM’s immersive textures and delivery had a tendency to willingly drag the listener through a vast array of emotions and sounds. If predictability and quick accessibility is what you seek, this is not the bad for you. But if post-metal fused with hard and progressive rock is up your alley, alongside flourishes of Isis, Karnivool and Cult Of Luna, HELM will never disappoint.

Throughout their tenure, HELM released three full length albums, 2008’s Vol 1…’Keelhaul’, 2010’s Vol 2…’The Winter March’ and 2013’s Vol 3…Panthalassa to increasingly critical acclaim. The group also released two EPs, 2010’s Great Southern Land and 2011’s Home, along with a standalone 2012 single Bullets featuring Cog’s Lucius Borich.

2023 and the return of Summerland Records sees movement at the HELM station, with exciting news on the horizon for past, present and future fans.
